Using

Step 1:

Gmail Contextual Gadget

Click “Fellow Consulting – Oracle CRM Contextual Mail v.xx” to expand the gadget.

After expanding, you will see several tabs such as Email, Contact History, Contact Information. The sender email is checked by searching in Oracle CRM On demand contact.

Step 2:

Settings

To use the gadget you need to complete the settings. With the CRM On Demand login, you can sync or upload data from your Gmail to Oracle CRM on Demand.

1. Complete CRM On Demand URL, Login, Password
2. Click the Save button to save the settings

Step 3:

Email Sync

If the email doesn’t exist in ood contact, you will see this message “Email ….. is not found in CRM on Demand”. Here you can click “ADD NEW” button to create new contact in ood with that sender email.

If the Email exists in ood contact, you will see this message “Email ….. found in CRM on Demand”. Here you can click “UPLOAD” button to create new task in ood with contact as related item.

Note:

When you click “Upload” button for the first time, the action is equal to “Insert” and the subject of Task is the subject of email.

When you click “Upload” button for the second time, the action is equal to “Update”.

Step 4:

Contact history

In contact history tab, it shows all tasks for a contact. You can view contact history by checking the “Get Contact History” checkbox. All tasks are queried from Oracle CRM On Demand. The view mode is broadest. So tasks are synced regardless of users.

Contact Information

The contact information is queried from your mail contact group. To sync contact information to ood, you just click on a “Sync Contact Information” checkbox.
