How is your company facing coronavirus crisis?

The coronavirus crisis requires flexibility and home office. This makes cloud computing more important than ever. Companies of all sizes have all recognized the following with the spread of the coronavirus: To keep work going, home office is the only solution. This minimizes the probability of infection and the workforce and employer remain capable of acting.

The Coronavirus situation also has some advantages, because it is a driver. It drives digitization in companies.

Up to now, Germany, which is otherwise considered modern, has had to hide in the European comparison of cloud computing. In Finland 65%, and in Norway and Denmark 50% of companies are focusing on cloud computing solutions. In Germany, the proportion is just 22%.

What is the reason for this? Perhaps it is due to the partly outdated views on data protection or internal company communication and the GDPR. Software which is not installed locally on the computers of companies is considered dangerous. The risk of having sensitive data stolen by cyber criminals seems far too high for decision-makers.  In addition, there is the fear of not being able to comply with the strict data protection guidelines of the Federal Government.

The fear is completely unfounded, because cloud providers, especially those from German providers, meet the highest security requirements. A company could not guarantee this independently under any circumstances.

Now pull up and go into the cloud

There is a reason to be happy for companies that were already on the move in the cloud before the corona epidemic and have used “home office” before. The workforce in such companies is well equipped to work from home.

For companies that were previously completely out of the cloud, the situation is now very different. However, there is one piece of good news: the optimal time has now come to migrate to the cloud. With the right cloud application, employees can work from home.

If the company you work for hasn’t already integrated cloud solutions into its day-to-day operations, now is the time to get started:

– Actively look for cloud solutions that fit your business

– Prepare for future crises

– In order to remain able to act during the corona epidemic, you must speed up decisions

One can learn from the current situation. And this also applies to traditional industries.  It is essential that the entire workforce recognizes the value of modernizing IT processes.

Ability to act with cloud solutions

Since the outbreak of the corona epidemic, interest in cloud solutions has increased. This is an important signal: German companies are increasingly tackling the long overdue modernization and digitization of internal company processes.

During the crisis, many industries have to cope with an order vacuum. If this is also the case in your company, the time should be used to rethink existing processes and to position yourself better by introducing new software.

Cloud-based applications may be just the right solution for your company.  For every business there is a suitable solution CRM software, ERP system for trade, solutions tailored to the service sector, a helpdesk system and numerous add-ons. These are available at any time and are therefore crisis-proof.

Digitization forces low-code development

Digitization forces low-code development

Digitization and the shortage of skilled workers have increased the demand for no-code and low-code development models. Both approaches aim at shorter development cycles. IT service provider Fellow Consulting AG shows what low-code platforms should offer in concrete terms.

No process digitization without low code

No process digitization without low-code

The aim of process digitization is to make processes more efficient and transparent. This can be done by automating them or making them more user-friendly. However, many companies are finding that they are not getting the desired results from their process digitization projects. This is often because they are trying to do too much with too little help. In this blog post, we will discuss why low-code platforms are so important for successful process digitization projects.
